Charlemagne Bolivar
What do we know about Charlemagne Bolivar?
Charlemagne Bolivar was mentioned in the first season Andromeda episode "The Honey Offering."
Charlemagne is the Archduke of the Jaguar pride (each group of Nietzcheans is a "pride"), who is
to marry Elssbett Mossadim, First Daughter of the Sabra pride in order to stop a 200-year-old
blood feud. In "The Honey Offering," the Andromeda (as a neutral ship) takes Elssbett to the
Jaguar homeworld for her wedding. However, she is secretly planning to assasinate the entire
ruling family of the Jaguars. When the ship carrying Elssbett to her wedding is attacked by
yet another Nietzchean pride, the Drago-Katsoff (unsure of true spelling), the Jaguar and the Sabra
must work together to save Elssbett from certain death. In th end, she goes through with the
wedding and (obviously) does not assassinate Charlemagne and his family.
Elssbett is played by Kimberly Huie
Descriptions of Charlemagne Bolivar
Tyr describes Charlemagne as "a milksop," and says that "He's a fop. A do-nothing. He inherited his title."
Elssbettt noted the "clever" and "notoriously treacherous" nature of the whole Jaguar pride.
After the wedding, Elssbett says, "Charlemagne pleases me. His decadence suits me."
